Eric Flint's 1632 & Beyond: Alternate History Stories

1632 & Beyond Issue #020

$5.99

Síân Reid’s first 1632 & Beyond story is “A Duty To Home.”  It’s about a girl from the Three Leagues who has been working in Grantville.  The cover illustration is inspired by this story.

“No One Stands Alone” is co-written by father and daughter Brad Banner and Bobbie Banner.  This is Bobbie Banner’s first story.  It examines sexual abuse and its effects.

“Netanel and Sarah’s Story” by Natalie Silk shows how one of the families in “Down This Path” (Issue 5) came to be in Zaborstadt.

“It Was Just A Joke!” but some people don’t have a sense of humor.  Find out what happened in Tim Sayeau’s story.

Remember the mercenaries who were told to leave the Grantville area?  There’s always someone who just doesn’t get it.  In his first story, “Out of the Frying Pan, into the Friar”, Todd Jones relates what happens when a couple chance meetings on the road escalate.

Jackie Britton Lopatin updates us on what’s going on in Mannington:  construction. We also learn a bit more about the new GURPS Ring of Fire.

1632 & Beyond Issue #20

Ness Security quarter-agent Regina Drehmännin and her friend Sunshine Moritz find a mysterious rifle abandoned on a quiet stretch of country road. They decide to get to the bottom of things only to find themselves drawn up in a dangerous conspiracy that defies popular philosophy!

Many things are more than they seem, including a travel agency that is cover for an intelligence operation. Add in a secret code, a stolen briefcase, and a mysterious murder and you have a recipe worthy of Summer’s Kitchen.

Newlywed spies Hildegard and Dominik combine their honeymoon with dangerous business in Erfurt as they track down a former member of their ranks who has gone rogue. Then a simple visit to a bakery turns everything upside down as their case morphs into a murder investigation.
