8:30-10:30 am Friday morning (June 26)
Meet and talk with the leadership and management of Eric Flint’s 1632 & Beyond magazine, including the publisher and editor-in-chief. There will be a short presentation on being a writer in the 1632 universe and our near-term plans, but this is primarily a chance for you to talk to us about being part of the 1632verse. We want to answer your questions and help you feel comfortable joining us!
This event is limited to ensure we actually can talk with everyone, one on one or in small groups with similar questions. This isn’t about us standing up in front of you and talking about what we think you are interested in. This is about you, people who are interested in writing (hopefully for us), having a chance to talk to us (and to each other) and ask questions directly, especially the ones you think are too specific to ask in a larger group.
We obviously aren’t Eric Flint, but we are lucky enough to have been entrusted with some of his legacy, and that explicitly includes encouraging and helping new authors, and not just the ones who write in our universe – although we really hope you do choose to join us!

We will spend the first half hour milling around and talking with you, then make some brief remarks to everyone about what we are looking for, then resume milling around and answering questions.
